Service Subtitle
The temperate grasslands are located in the United States and are often referred to as prairies. The main plant found in these types of grasslands are grasses like purple needlegrass, galleta grass, buffalo grass, and blue grama. Very little trees ever grow there like cottonwoods, oak, and willow trees. There are a couple hundred species of flowers that will grow there like blazing stars, coneflowers, goldenrods, asters, clovers, wild indigo, sunflowers, psoraleas, and clovers. There, the summers are hot and can get to over 100 degrees fahrenhiet. The winters are cold and can get to -40 degrees fahrenhiet.
